Aeronautical Institute of Technologies in Dallas, Texas
Purchased by
Aviation Institute of Maintenance
Aviation Institute of Maintenance announces the purchase of Aeronautical Institute of Technologies in Dallas, Texas. The new school will be AIM’s seventh aviation campus dedicated to aeronautical technologies training.
AIM serves students at six other campus locations: Atlanta, Georgia; Indianapolis, Indiana; Kansas City, Missouri; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Manassas — Washington, D.C. metro area. Today we offer one of the country’s most comprehensive Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) programs – a program that is respected throughout the industry.
Aviation is one of the world’s fastest growing industries. Estimates show that 30 to 50 million more people will fly airlines in the United States each year as they take vacations, visit relatives and travel for business. In fact, many experts agree that passenger fleets will double by the year 2013.
In addition to carrying people, the aviation industry will continue to carry much of the world’s commerce. The industry’s enormous growth, both in the United States and worldwide, will be a key engine refueling the economy.
To meet these increasing demands, manufacturers are increasing their production of aircraft. Combine this growth with a retiring workforce, plus the need to install new and updated airplanes, and it is easy to see why the FAA predicts the demand for airline mechanics and avionic technicians will exceed 80,000 new positions during the next ten years.
The demand for graduates of aeronautical technologies continues to outpace the supply, and the need for qualified maintenance technicians has reached a critical point. AIM will continue it’s rapid pace to meet the demand for new aviation maintenance technicians and looks forward to fulfilling that mission with the Dallas campus.
