Welcome!
Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), located in Kansas City, Missouri, is one of eight nationally distinguished co-educational institutions committed to the education and personal enrichment of our students. We offer an Associate of Occupational Science degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. AIM is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration to provide regulation Part 147 instruction.

Our Kansas City campus occupies a large facility; remodeled to meet the specific needs of our aviation program. Comfortable classrooms, a well stocked technical library, both indoor and outdoor student lounge areas, and plenty of lab/shop space is available to ensure a good learning environment.

All of our instructors are either FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics that have years of practical experience or are specialized instructors who have been approved to teach general education subjects.

Our Administrative offices are ready to help you with financial assistance, advising, tutoring and more. The facility also offers a library with computers and hundreds of volumes of technical reference materials, manufacturer’s publications, and specialized texts. A student lounge with vending machines and a microwave is provided for breaks, lunches, or just relaxing. Job placement assistance is available so you will be able find work opportunities while you attend school if needed and career placement once you graduate.

After completing your degree, you are immediately eligible to take the FAA exam for certification. Many of our graduates work with companies like Boeing, Continental Airlines, Delta, and US Air as well as positions in general aviation, industrial trades and the U.S. government. Positions with major airlines often include good wages, comprehensive benefits for you and your family and complimentary free travel.
