Welcome!
Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), located in Indianapolis, Indiana, is one of eight nationally distinguished co-educational institutions committed to the education and personal enrichment of our students. We offer an Associate of Applied Science degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. AIM is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration to provide regulation Part 147 instruction.

The Indianapolis campus is located adjacent to the Indianapolis International Airport. The school is housed in its own thirty-two thousand square foot building. All classrooms are complete with audio-visual equipment and aircraft training aids.

The hangar area is filled with aviation training aids approved by the Federal Aviation Administration for instruction in this course. The equipment includes aircraft, airframes, turbine and piston engines, parts tools, and other training aids.

All of our instructors are either FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics that have years of practical experience or are specialized instructors who have been approved to teach general education subjects.

Our Administrative offices are ready to help you with financial assistance, advising, tutoring and more. The facility also offers a library with computers and hundreds of volumes of technical reference materials, manufacturer’s publications, and specialized texts. A student lounge with vending machines and a microwave is provided for breaks, lunches, or just relaxing.

AIM provides transitional housing opportunities to assist with the relocation process. (Housing options vary by location and availability.) Job placement assistance is available so you will be able find work opportunities while you attend school if needed and career placement once you graduate.

After completing your degree, you are immediately eligible to take the FAA exam for certification. This campus was first to be put on-line as an FAA computer testing facility. Many of our graduates work with companies like Boeing, Continental Airlines, Delta, and US Air as well as positions in general aviation, industrial trades and the U.S. government. Positions with major airlines often include good wages, comprehensive benefits for you and your family and complimentary free travel.
