AIM and SONIC Tool’s August Graduate of the Month

Posted by on Aug 23, 2018

By Jul DeGeus and Scott Saxton

The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) and SONIC Tools are proud to present August’s Graduate of the Month, Floyd Bermudez.

Floyd attended and graduated AIM’s Kansas City campus and purchased SONIC Tool’s aviation-specific toolbox that was designed to support aviation maintenance technicians whether they are just starting their training or have had years of experience. We followed up with the Airframe and Powerplant (A & P) certified mechanic to learn about how the AIM and SONIC Tools partnership benefitted him:

The Aviation Institute of Maintenance prepared me in so many ways, but the most important thing instilled upon me was the mindset that the industry is what you make it. They prepare you with opportunities, like tons of interviews and a discounted tool box, which has given me a huge head start as an A & P technician. I was able to purchase my toolbox while still in school and working in the industry. This gave me a chance to do part time maintenance and apply what I had been learning in school, hands-on. I now work full time at Silverhawk Aviation with my Sonic toolbox set and the AIM/Sonic Tools partnership made both these things happen. Readiness and preparation is key and I left school more prepared than my new employer had expected. They especially liked the fact my toolbox was already shadowed. –Floyd Bermudez

Congratulations, Floyd, on all you have achieved. We look forward to following the path of your career. Good luck in all of your endeavors and thank you for being AIM and SONIC Tool’s August 2018 Graduate of the Month.
