Ms. Jones will attend the annual ATEC conference in Orlando, Florida, where she will be presented with the award and AIM Chesepeake will receive a framed picture of the “Flying Wing” donated by Northrop Rice Foundation.
Check out this article from the ATEC website announcing her new title as well as sharing some warm words on why she was chosen.
ATEC was founded in 1961 to further the standing of FAA approved schools with education and industry, and to promote mutually beneficial relations with all industry and government agencies. The Council’s mission is to advocate for aviation maintenance schools in the areas of curriculum improvement, technical and financial support, while promoting mutually beneficial relations with related government and industry groups. The Council has more than 80 aviation schools as members.
The Ivan D. Livi Educator of the Year Award memorializes the contributions of Ivan Livi (1920-2015), who was one of ATEC’s founding fathers and provided leadership to the organization for more than fifty years. His life is a testament to what can be achieved through dedication, hard work and a commitment to serving others.
